Publishing Ethics

IJIRM adheres to the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follows international best practices in scholarly publishing.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality of their work

  • Properly cite all sources

  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification

  • Disclose conflicts of interest

  • Obtain ethical approval for research involving humans or animals

AI Use Disclosure

Authors must disclose the use of AI tools (e.g., language models, image generation tools) in manuscript preparation. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

Conflict of Interest

All authors, reviewers, and editors must declare any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the review or publication process.

Plagiarism Policy

IJIRM screens all submissions using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with significant similarity will be rejected.

Research Involving Human Participants

Authors must confirm:

  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval

  • Informed consent

  • Compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki

Research Involving Animals

Studies involving animals must comply with recognized ethical standards.

Retractions & Corrections

IJIRM follows COPE guidelines for:

  • Retractions

  • Corrections

  • Expressions of concern

Retractions are issued in cases of serious ethical violations or unreliable findings.

Appeals & Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a formal request to the Editor-in-Chief. All complaints will be investigated in accordance with COPE procedures.
