SI: Advancing Technological Engineering Research, Pedagogy, and Practice in Education
Scopes and Aims
Education systems worldwide are being reshaped by rapid advances in technological engineering, including artificial intelligence, learning analytics, extended reality, intelligent tutoring systems, educational robotics, cybersecurity, and next-generation digital infrastructure. At the same time, persistent challenges—unequal access, variable learning outcomes, teacher workload, assessment validity, and the need for future-ready skills—demand solutions that are not only innovative, but also practical, scalable, ethical, and evidence-based.
This Special Issue focuses on the intersection of technological engineering research, pedagogical innovation, and real-world educational practice. It welcomes rigorous studies that design, implement, and evaluate engineering-driven educational technologies, as well as research that bridges laboratory advances with classroom realities. We encourage submissions that demonstrate measurable impact on teaching and learning, propose robust frameworks for deployment and governance, or translate emerging technologies into effective instructional models, assessment strategies, and institutional transformation pathways.
