Introduction:
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are transforming the landscape of healthcare and biomedical engineering. As the demand for personalized and precision medicine increases, AI and ML are emerging as pivotal tools for improving patient outcomes, optimizing clinical workflows, and advancing medical research. From developing predictive algorithms to interpreting vast datasets in genomics, imaging, and patient records, AI and ML technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to revolutionize the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
This special issue aims to explore the latest developments in AI and ML as applied to precision medicine, focusing on their use in clinical settings and their potential to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare delivery. Contributions will highlight innovative AI/ML algorithms, methodologies, tools, and case studies that address both the technical and clinical challenges faced by healthcare providers.
